SEPTEMBER SCHOLARSHIPS 

OK 4-H Horseman of the Year Scholarship
Deadline: September 15
The purpose of this scholarship is for the Oklahoma Horse Program to recognize and promote the total involvement and development of the youth horse project member in all aspects of the Oklahoma youth Horse programs.  It will not be an award strictly for show activities.  
Qualifications:     
1) Youth must be currently enrolled in 4-H (unless they are graduated seniors) Participation is limited to grades 9-12. 
2) Must have completed at least freshman year of high school and completed at least two years in the horse project including current year.  Previous winners will be ineligible to compete.  The three finalists will be invited to interview in person. Time and location TBD.

OCTOBER SCHOLARSHIPS 

AES Engineering Solutions
Deadline: October 5
AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education. Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?  What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey? Amount of award: $500.00. Horatio Alger Oklahoma Scholarship Program 
Deadline: August 1 – October 25
The Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need. In order to be considered, your application and all required materials must be uploaded to your online application by 5:00 p.m.. Eastern Time on October 25.

NOVEMBER SCHOLARSHIPS

Modern Woodmen of America Scholarship
Deadline:
November 1 – February 8
At Modern Woodmen of America, we believe in making an impact. That’s why we reward member students each year through Make An Impact Scholarships. High school seniors can apply for the annually awarded scholarships. Two types of scholarships allow members to find the path that’s right for them. Scholarship option 1: Volunteer experience + academic achievement; Winners are chosen based on volunteer experience and academic achievement. Structured as a competition, Modern Woodmen awarded six $10,000 scholarships, six $7,500 scholarships, six $5,000 scholarships and 12 $2,500 scholarships this school year. Scholarship option 2: Volunteer experience; Winners are chosen based on volunteer experience. This year, 90 member students were awarded with $1,000. Modern Woodmen divides the country into six regions. Although the regions are not equal in geographic size, they have been carefully established so that the number of eligible students in each region is approximately equal.

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Competition 
Deadline: November 15
Eligibility: Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply. Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks. High school graduates are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify. Selection criteria: Leadership; Academic achievements and records; Community involvement; Financial need

Eligibility: 

  • Meet and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4-point scale)
  • Be enrolled full-time in one of the following undergraduate petroleum-related programs: Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, GeoEnergy Engineering, or Energy Management
  • Attend The University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, or The University of Tulsa
  • Declare in writing a petroleum-related field as their primary area of study
  • Understand and support the mission of the OERB
  • Serve as an industry ambassador on- and off-campus

National Honor Society Scholarship (NHS)

High school seniors who are active National Honor Society (NHS) members in good standing of an affiliated NHS chapter are eligible to apply for the scholarship. There are no limits to the number of applications per chapter. Students’ NHS membership must first be verified by their adviser after the member creates a student account on the NHS website. After verification, members use their login to access the NHS Scholarship application.

Academic All-State Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence 
Deadline: December 1
Academic All-State Nomination Criteria: Currently enrolled Oklahoma public high school seniors who meet any one of the five criteria listed below are eligible for this award. 

  • composite ACT score of at least 30

  • combined SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math score of at least 1370

  • National Merit Scholarship Program semi-finalist

  • National Achievement Scholarship Program semi-finalist

  • National Hispanic Scholar Awards Program semi-finalist

In addition to the minimum criteria, students will be evaluated on the basis of their leadership abilities, motivation, academic achievement and character as maximized within each student’s learning environment.

Sutton Avian Research Center Award 
Deadline: January 9
ENTRY INFORMATION
The Sutton Award is free to enter and open to Oklahoma High School students grades 10-12 (public, private or homeschool). In addition to the artwork, each student submits a 250 word essay that explains how his or her work communicates information about a current conservation issue.  Each submission is judged 2/3 on artwork and 1/3 on essay. Categories:  2D, 3D, mixed media, photography

TCEC Leadership Summit & Scholarship

January 10 (opens November 1st)
Two high school seniors are selected from the TCEC service area to join other delegates from Oklahoma for a day conference, in OKC, designed to excite and motivate high school students to become leaders of their communities. Students will receive a $500 scholarship for attending the leadership summit. Applicant criteria: current high school seniors attending a school in the TCEC service area whose parents or guardians are members of the cooperative.  Selected students must attend the leadership summit to receive the scholarship award.

National FFA Scholarship Program

Students may receive one scholarship as a high school senior and one while in college for a maximum of two scholarships during their academic career. Students who have already received two scholarships through this program are not eligible to apply.

Oklahoma JCI Senate Scholarship 
Deadline: January 14
The Oklahoma Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Club joins the United States JCI organization in presenting scholarships to selected high school seniors. These scholarships will be presented in the late spring of 2023. The application should be completed in its entirety and postmarked on or before January 14, 2023.   Each application will be screened based on appearance, neatness, content, scholastic abilities, extracurricular activities, financial need, and correctly following the directions. The top two (2) applications from Oklahoma will receive a $500 scholarship and be submitted for national judging.  We are very proud that we've presented sixteen national scholarships to Oklahoma students since 2001.   
Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors in the United States, where that state has an active JCI Senate program. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this scholarship. .

JFK Profile in Courage Essay Contest

The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation invites U.S. high school students to describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born
Eligibility:  The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. Past winners and finalists are not eligible to participate. Employees of John Hancock Financial Services and members of their families are not eligible to participate.

The Hagan Scholarship Foundation
Deadline: September 1 – January 15
Eligibility Requirements

1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2. Must attend a traditional public high school governed by a school district.
3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
4. Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation.
5. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college.
6. Must work 240 hours each year, from January 1 until commencement of the fall semester in college. Must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation.
7. Applicant’s Gross Household Income reported for 2021 Federal Income Tax Purposes must have been less than $85,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total gross income received by all members of a household living under the same roof.
8. Must provide the first five (5) pages of the FAFSA SAR, the EFC must be shown on the first page.
9. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.
10. Must not have a felony conviction.

The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high-achieving goal-driven student in need of financial assistance in order to attend college.

Oklahoma Daughters of the American Revolution

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Foundation is offering the Mary & Leonard Stiles Scholarship to a student of a family involved in the ranching or farming industry. This scholarship is in the amount of $5,750.00 and is a one-year award for a graduating high school senior with financial need. The scholarship will be eligible for renewal for up to four years; provided recipient makes acceptable academic progress and maintains the scholarship requirements.

Great Plains ACAC (GPACAC) Scholarships
Deadline: February 15
GPACAC funds ten annual scholarships to students attending high school in the three GPACAC membership states of Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. All awards are intended to help pay for tuition, housing, fees and/or books. Scholarship recipients will be notified of the decision by mid-April. These scholarships are a one-time award and will be mailed to students' postsecondary institution of choice.

Oklahoma Restaurant Association Scholarship

The Oklahoma Restaurant Association is pleased to present the following instructions for the state scholarship application process. Scholarships are offered to current culinary students and high school students. Scholarships are open to people who are enrolled in or currently enrolling in one of the following college hospitality industry programs: Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, and Culinary Arts Education in the state of Oklahoma. The scholarship is to be used toward the pursuit of undergraduate, master's degree or continuing education at a post-secondary accredited institution. Certified ProStart students may qualify if they are enrolled in a post-secondary program. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to qualified applicants.

Recipients must be incoming freshmen pursuing degrees in agricultural, environmental or energy-related fields. Organization of Rural OK Schools (OROS) Scholarship Program

The OROS scholarship program awards four $1,000 scholarships one to each of the four Oklahoma quadrants. The scholarship committee will then select a scholarship recipient for the Perry Willis Scholarship ($2,000) from the four quadrant recipients. The alternate from the quadrant the Perry Willis award is selected will then receive the $1,000 scholarship award.

Frances Koop Parsons/AT&T Pioneer Memorial Scholarship

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education assists in the administration of the Frances Koop Parsons/AT&T Pioneers Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship program was established through the AT&T Pioneers to assist Oklahoma students in obtaining their education goals. The recipients of this scholarship will receive a $1,000 cash award to be used at an eligible Oklahoma career technology center, two-year college, or four-year university. This scholarship is open to first-time freshmen with at least a 3.0 high school GPA whose family income does not exceed $75,000.

The Hunter Garner Scholarship: Project Yellow Light
Deadline: April 1
Award Amount: 1st Place: $5,000, 2nd Place: $2,000, 3rd Place: $1,000. Project Yellow Light is a scholarship competition designed to bring about change. As an applicant you have one clear mission: encourage your peers to develop and embrace safe driving habits. Create a video either exactly 0:25 or exactly 0:55 seconds. Here's what we're looking for. A video designed to motivate, persuade and encourage your peers to not drive distracted. You have a unique opportunity to play a key role in spreading this important message. You can speak to your peers on this subject in a way that adults cannot. The more lives you can impact, the more lives you can save.

Jimmie L Dean Scholarship Foundation

All Scholarship awards are determined by the Foundation at the sole discretion of its Board of Directors.

First time applicants must be: (1) A continuous resident of the state of Oklahoma for the past six (6) years, (2) A graduate from an Oklahoma High School or have completed the Oklahoma High School requirements through Homeschool activities, (3) Entering an accredited Oklahoma College, University or Technical school from the list on the application page on a full-time basis for the first time in the Fall of 2022 in pursuit of a 4 year undergraduate degree from the College or University or an appropriate degree from a Technical school such as Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, (4) Graduate students and less than full time students are not eligible for an award. The funds for the awards granted will be distributed directly to the College, University or Technical School under the conditions provided during the application process. Only students who have been accepted to the College, University or Technical School will be awarded scholarships but applications will be accepted by the Foundation for consideration prior to acceptance. Please note: To be eligible for an award you must be an Oklahoma resident. Only students who attended an Oklahoma High School or were home schooled while living in Oklahoma will be considered residents by the Foundation.

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Inc.

The Oklahoma City Chapter of The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE OKC) is offering scholarships for graduating high-school seniors to be awarded for the 2022-2023 school year.  The scholarships are divided into two groups:  (1) Qualified, graduating high school seniors in SPE Oklahoma City Section's coverage area, pursuing a Petroleum Engineering Degree, or (2) The Son or Daughter of an SPE Member and enrolled in a math or science program. SPE has distributed these scholarships since 1998 and this program has been a huge success.  We need your help in finding talented young people. Successful candidates will exhibit superior communication skills and display ability in math and the sciences. The awards will be distributed when the recipient is registered and declared as a full time college freshman in an accredited university.

Jason C. Wagner Foundation

The Jason C. Wagner Scholarship will be awarded to students with a financial need and who, in the Foundation’s view, most exemplify the characteristics Jason had in life: integrity, intelligence, and kindness. Each applicant is required to submit an application and essay to the Foundation.

OSLS Scholarship Program
Deadline: May 15
The Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors Scholarship program will provide financial assistance to those applicants who are seeking a career as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. To promote the Profession of Land Surveying and increase awareness among those considering the profession of the high standards and integrity of the Land Surveying profession. Scholarships will be awarded to successful applicants who have demonstrated talent and achievement in the areas of leadership, citizenship, and genuine interest in land surveying. Amount of scholarship will vary depending on number of applicants.

Duck Tape: Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest

Can you envision yourself wearing duct tape to prom? The Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest challenges students to create and accessorize their prom outfits with duct tape, then wear them to prom for a chance to win scholarship cash prizes. We're getting ready for another year of Duck Tape prom fashion! Entry will be live April 4th through May 31st, and we've updated the Official Rules early so you'll have all the details you need to get started. We'll be making some other big updates to stuckatprom.com on the official contest start date (don't worry, we won't be changing the Official Rules), so make sure to sign up to our newsletter to receive the latest contest notifications.

JUNE SCHOLARSHIPS

Panhandle Promise Scholarship 
Deadline: June 1
APPLICATION CRITERIA: 1. Must be currently admitted to and enrolled in Oklahoma Panhandle State University with an education degree path 2. Incoming freshmen must have a high school GPA of 2.75; transfer and current students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75. 3. By the application’s deadline, submit a completed FAFSA that includes the OPSU code number and show evidence of application for at least three private scholarships (which may include OPSU Foundation scholarships) 4. Must have received a passing score in the Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET) 5. Must submit three (3) letters of recommendation from teachers, employers, administrators, etc. not related to the applicant 6. Submit an essay that provides background information, future aspirations as an educator, and what it would mean to the applicant to be awarded this scholarship. 7. Must commit to work as a classroom teacher in an Oklahoma Panhandle public school for two years immediately after graduation
